Old Residential Door Closer, in Bayonne NJ

You know you are a glass geek when you are awe struck from something like this. Today we spotted an old door closer in one of our client’s apartment building. We were very surprised to find this antique and wanted to share it with you. In the picture is an antique Yale door closer. A door closer is a hydroponic mechanism that prevents your door from slamming shut. Most swing doors on storefronts have door closers regulating the swing speed. It is rare to see a door closure this size in a residential building. this old door Yale door closers is extremely reliable and durable. It is at-least half a century old and still works!  This, here, is a rare gem.
